Illegal dumps, coastal areas, parks and underground passages and graffiti will be cleaned as a part of big spring city cleaning, which starts on April 2nd and will last for a month.
Six city secretariats, nine public utilities, Utility police, Belgrade Tourist Organization and numerous volunteers will take part in the cleaning.
During the first week, 32 locations in 10 municipalities will be cleaned and staff and machines of PUC “Belgrade Waterworks” will be present in 12 locations across the town.
The citizens of Belgrade responded to the City invitation and reported more than 500 illegal dumps and locations to be cleaned – said Belgrade Mayor Siniša Mali. He pointed that this activity should raise awareness that our capital city must be cleaner, greener and more beautiful and invited the citizens to join the big spring Belgrade cleaning.
